November 21, 1998 Just an update for my poor little neglect-arinos. Working on a cool Java game called "Simpson Quick Click". This has taken many hours, many a torn Java book, many buckets of vomit, etc. It's well worth it, though. The preliminary program looks very challenging. The object; click on the character whose sound was just heard. Ah--heres the catch! There are up to 25 characters, and they change each time you get one right. Trouble is, they go faster and faster, until it's almost impossible. This game will be killer. AABFO2 hasn't been forgotten; just delayed until Sunday night, by which time I should be finished with the game. November 14, 1998 (VERY EARLY MORNING) 30 pictures for [5F19] now up--meaning 525 total framegrabs... Tonight (LATE), 4 new movie files for assorted episodes--including Homer's "own recording studio" clip--and 9F01 will get 10 more soundfiles (and possibly some pics). Stay tuned. (VERY LATE NIGHT) 4 movies made it up tonight, including Star Trek XII, Flanders saving Homer from a fire, Homer's vision, and the THX movie theater scene from [1F16]. One leftover soundfile from [1F01] Rosebud--Homer's own recording studio also uploaded. Going to bed--getting up to update lists, links--maybe even some pics will go up. Well, how about 40 sounds and SIX (yes SIX!) Real Video clips, including the Jerry Springer clip in its entirety. These RM files are saveable! Woo-hoo! October 25, 1998 As tonight they show THOH IX, I shall be blunt: The pictures for [8F04] Homer Defined are up--total Framegrabs: 402. Sounds: 446. Movies: 21. Maybe more a little later tonight. Who knows? Who's to say? October 24, 1998 For those of you still hanging on to your buttocks, you can loosen your grip a bit. 12 Real Video movies have been added to the movie page, bringing our movie total to 21. The files are much smaller, and faster to download. For some, you may experience problems downloading the movies with Netscape. MSIE seems to work fine. I'll get these bugs worked out tomorrow. To get the movies, just do a wordsearch for "@"... There were major updates to our sister site, Simpsons Writers Consortium. Members can just type their passwords now, and everything is automatic. Finally--another update to the link database. I think I've got the XOOM and Angelfire problem worked out--My ISP connection disallows certain types of TCP/IP connections. I think I'll connect via AOL, and go to all the XOOM and ANGELFIRE sites that I promised. We've hit 1300! At 1302 reviewed Simpsons Links, I think you'll find just what you need on the Simpsons Link search page. The List Generator is really humming now, with 13 lists and counting... Come be immortalized--show off your Simpsons knowledge! One more day of updates (Sunday Evening): At least the pictures for [8F04] Homer Defined will go up--the sounds are up. You may still want to cling to your butt for a while. More movies and sounds, too...The Treehouse of Horror will be up by Tuesday, at the latest... Requests will be filled following that. October 22, 1998 Updated the list generator once again, to include new submissions. I have the weekend off! Woo-Hoo! October 21, 1998 (EVENING) Thanks for your patience =). The pictures for "And Maggie Makes Three" are all up. That brings the total framegrab count to 371. Phew! (EARLY MORNING) No news to report, other than an unfortunate delay for the 2F10 And Maggie Makes Three pics; the framegrabs were of low-quality, so I'm spending more time on each picture--doing color corrections and touch ups. 27 of 31 pictures done as of 1:30 AM... Going to bed =). After work, you can expect the pics (say, 7 PM-ish (MDT)) October 19, 1998 (Early Morning) Major update to the List Generator, updating the movie references, "haw-haw", and Burns not recognizing Homer lists. Added four new lists, including "prayers offered", "pranks (not Moe's Tavern Calls)", "physical injuries", and "daydreams/flashbacks". There will be even more lists in the coming week; soon, I may have to put the subjects in a search engine =) Tune in later tonight, when the pictures for 2F10 will be uploaded... October 18, 1998 (Early Morning) 35 sounds for "And Maggie Makes Three" were uploaded early this morning, but won't be "available" (in the audio/episode databases) till later today. Also planning work on SWC (to make it less cumbersome) and some management work on ICBIASS. Working on a new game, as well as the contests pages and other smaller pages. Hey, if we're lucky, the pictures for 2F10 may get up later today, as well! (Later)The 35 sounds for And Maggie Makes Three [2F10] are up. I also added three small Homer sounds to the .wav snippets. 446 sounds. I'm currently working on the corollary site to ICBIASS, Simpsons Writer's Consortium, to make it easier for members to use. The odd colors in the Discussion Topics have finally been eliminated. This is a private list, used only to send you updates on this site. October 16, 1998 We've been slowed this week by illness and phone outages, but at least the pics for 3F18--22 Short Films are up. I need a suggestion for the movie, though. I'm stuck between Apu's party, and when Nick helps Grampa by shocking his teeth. Tell me which movie you'd rather have. You can find each episode on the main Multimedia page, too. As a rule, episodes with thumbnail pictures are finished. Episodes with blank thumbnails have yet to be complete. (There are exceptions. The whole first season has pictures, but only 7G01 is finished). There are episodes which have sounds (LIKE MOST OF SEASON 9), but no pictures... 340 total framegrabs. October 14, 1998 Due to a bizarre phone outage, I was unable to send the latest update yesterday. Fortunately, the good people at US West got everything fixed and we're back on-line. Sorry for any inconvenience. The sounds for 22 Short Films [3F18] have finally been updated. Half the picture update is done, and later this afternoon the pics will be up. October 11, 1998 (Early Morning) Uploaded 21 short .wavs for Marge. Also, 23 assorted "short .wavs" for Chief Wiggum, Troy McClure, Nick Riviera, Principal Skinner, Otto, Nelson, Mayor Quimby, and a couple others. Sept 28, 1998 (Monday Evening) 28 framegrabs from "Two Dozen and One Greyhounds" were added; working on the two newest Season 10 (Season 9 holdovers) from this year "Wizard of Evergreen Terrace" and "Bart the Mother." A total of 187 framegrabs; more daily. Hey, we're not pulling your leg! =) This just takes time. Now, there are 7 episodes complete (Only 195 to go!) 7G01, 7F01, 7F02, 8F03, 9F15, 2F18 and 3F19.
